Canadian Tex-Mex chain Guac Mexi Grill is planning to open 95 stores in the US as part of a 10-year expansion strategy.

Founded in 2016, the brand operates as a premium fast-casual restaurant offering customizable burritos, bowls, tacos, and other Tex-Mex food and beverages.

Guac Mexi Grill said its compact restaurant format and customizable menu are designed for traditional retail plazas, shopping centres, and street front locations.

The brand has expanded to more than 55 restaurants across Canada since launching and has developed a multi-unit franchise model to support further growth.

“This is a defining moment for Guac Mexi Grill,” said Trushna Makadia, CEO of Guac Mexi Grill.

“We’re approaching this expansion with the same commitment to operational excellence and guest experience that has shaped our growth.”

The company plans to prioritize openings in Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida, with the first locations expected to open next year.
