Chinese tea chain Cha Bai Dao, also known as ChaPanda, is set to open its first US store in Flushing, Queens, New York City.

The outlet will open on Main Street, which the company describes as Flushing’s busiest commercial hub and home to one of the largest Chinese communities in the US.

Wang Huan, overseas CEO of ChaPanda said the expansion aims to bring the brand to a broader audience.

“Through a standardized operating system and a globally covering supply chain network, ChaPanda ensures consistency in products and services across its global stores, aiming to provide American consumers with a rich selection of products and a high-quality service experience,” Huan said.

The move follows a series of international launches this year.

In May, ChaPanda opened its first European store in Paris; last month, it entered Singapore with two outlets.

Market analysts, including Galaxy Securities and Huaxin Securities, noted that the brand’s “one location, one strategy” model is starting to deliver results overseas.

“With its international rollout accelerating, the company is expected to build on its dual growth strategy of domestic and overseas expansion,” they added.
