Global sports brand Wilson Sporting Goods has appointed Carrie Ask as president and CEO, effective March 1.

Ask steps into the role with a mandate to accelerate Wilson’s growth strategy, bringing a blend of global brand leadership, direct-to-consumer transformation expertise and wholesale experience across both US and international markets. She will also join the executive committee of parent company Amer Sports.

“It is with humility and great excitement that I join the Wilson and Amer Sports teams. Wilson is an iconic and truly inspiring brand representing the pinnacle of sports, performance, and team spirit,” said Carrie Ask.

“I look forward to partnering with the entire team to further accelerate the track record of success and build new capabilities to lead the company to the next phase of growth.”

Ask most recently served as CEO of Helly Hansen. She previously held senior leadership roles at Nike and Levi Strauss & Co, and her background also includes service as an officer in the US Navy.

Ask takes the helm following a leadership transition period at Wilson. Since September, Amer Sports CFO Andrew Page has been serving as the brand’s interim president and CEO alongside his finance responsibilities. Page will now continue his role as group CFO.
