CKE Restaurants, the parent company of Carl’s Jr, has appointed Ewan Davenport as president of its global division to support its international expansion.

Davenport brings over 20 years of experience in the quick-service restaurant industry, including a nine-year tenure at Yum! Brands, where he helped develop franchise relations with international brands such as Americana, Jardines, and Premium Brands.

He was most recently MD of global franchise markets at Pizza Hut. His prior leadership roles also spanned SABMiller and Unilever.

In his new role, Davenport will oversee the global expansion plan and innovation efforts of CKE’s brands, namely Carl’s Jr and Hardee’s.

“His extensive international experience, proven leadership in the industry, and deep understanding of franchise operations make him the perfect fit to spearhead our global growth strategy,” said Joe Guith, CEO of CKE Restaurants.

CKE Restaurants operates more than 1100 Carl’s Jr and Hardee’s restaurants in more than 40 countries.
