Ace Hardware has already launched over 100 new stores this year and is on track to open more than170 locations by the end of the year.

Ace has opened over 1,100 stores worldwide in the last five years, while also paying out $345 million in dividends and generating a 39 per cent return to Ace stockholders.

With global sales exceeding $22 billion, the company operates more than 5,800 locally-owned hardware stores in all 50 states and 60 countries.

“With over 100 new stores already opened for the year, we remain enthusiastically bullish about the continued prospect for new store growth, “said Ace Hardware president and CEO, John Venhuizen.

“I applaud our local Ace owners for the pace with which they’ve integrated our digital efforts with our physical assets. Seventy per cent of Acehardware.com orders are picked up in store and 20 per cent are delivered to customers by our own red vested heroes, thus further advancing the relevance and necessity of our neighborhood stores.”

Ace’s new store expansion has been supported by existing retailers launching more sites, competition stores changing to Ace, and new investors building their first Ace Hardware store.
