Dollar General is partnering with Instacart to offer same-day delivery, expanding access to its stores through the online grocer’s app and website.

The service will initially launch at about 7000 Dollar General and Popshelf stores across six states before expanding to an estimated 20,000 locations in 48 states.

Customers will be able to shop Dollar General’s range of groceries, snacks, household essentials, and health and beauty products through Instacart’s Marketplace.

“Dollar General’s vast footprint and longstanding commitment to affordability make them an important addition to the Instacart Marketplace,” said Ryan Hamburger, chief business officer at Instacart.

“As we expand this partnership, we’ll help provide customers in communities across the country with even greater access to affordable food and everyday essentials, with the convenience of same-day delivery.”

Dollar General joins more than 2200 national, regional, and local retail banners on the Instacart Marketplace.
