Wrangler brand reformer promoted to COO at Kontoor

Lifestyle apparel company Kontoor Brands, parent of Wrangler and Lee, has appointed Tom Waldron as its new COO, who took over this week.

In his new role, Waldron will assume responsibility for both Wrangler and Lee globally as well as maintain oversight of the company’s global supply chain operations.

Scott Baxter, president, CEO and chair of Kontoor Brands, described Waldron as an “exceptionally talented business leader” who led Wrangler’s return to growth and profitability amid an uncertain global environment.

“I have great confidence that his 30 years of experience and incredible passion for our business will help accelerate growth and successfully drive our brands going forward,” Baxter added.

As part of its multi-year transformation plan, Kontoor Brands has also appointed Jenni Broyles as EVP, global brands president, Wrangler & Lee, and Ezio Garciamendez as EVP, chief supply chain officer. Both Broyles and Garciamendez will report directly to Waldron.
