Would you like convenience with that? 7-Eleven to trial pizza delivery

7-Eleven is testing a pizza delivery service in Japan, which reportedly promises to arrive in as little as 20 minutes.

Starting with two pizza flavors – traditional Margherita and Japanese teriyaki chicken – 7-Eleven Japan has tested the service in 30 branches, mostly located in Tokyo and other regions comprising Kanagawa, Chiba, and Ibaraki

According to sources, the pizzas will be frozen and baked in stores’ ovens but the convenience store operator promises they will taste the same as freshly-made pizzas.

Next month, 7-Eleven will expand the service into 200 stores in Hokkaido, Kanto and Kyushu, which currently operate the chain’s general delivery service 7Now.
