Warby Parker has entered the performance eyewear market with the launch of Warby Parker Sport, designed to function as both athletic gear and everyday eyewear.

“We’ve never believed performance and great design have to be trade-offs. Our goal with Warby Parker Sport was to make approachable performance eyewear that transitions seamlessly from everyday wear to active moments,” said Dave Gilboa, co-founder and co-CEO of Warby Parker.

Designed and made in Italy, the Sport collection consists of five frame styles – Cedar, Flint, River, Sierra, and Cliff – which are designed with no-slip rubber nose pads and concealed spring hinges for increased durability and fit during movement.

The collection features polarized lenses designed to reduce horizontal glare by up to 55 per cent without causing digital screen distortion.

The company offers three lens colors tailored to specific environments: Grey, rosewood, and brown.

Warby Parker Sport is available in both prescription and non-prescription formats, with pricing starting at $195.

The collection is sold through the company’s website and retail locations.

Earlier, Warby Parker’s sales growth continued in Q4, but showed signs of maturing.
