Warby Parker reported third-quarter revenue growth of 10.4 per cent to $244.7 million, with analyst Neil Saunders of GlobalData noting that the company continued to outperform the broader optical market.

For the three months ended September 30, gross profit increased to $133.2 million from $119.9 million a year earlier, while gross margin improved slightly to 54.4 per cent from 54.1 per cent.

However, the company’s net income declined by $300,000 to $5.6 million.

Warby Parker attributed its margin improvement to stronger margins, lower tariff costs, reduced shipping expenses, optical lab efficiencies and higher sales of progressive lenses and other lens treatments.

The optical retailer opened 51 stores over the past year.

Saunders said despite multiple store openings, customer growth remained the brand’s pressure point, with active customers increasing 3 per cent, down from 4.1 per cent growth in the previous quarter.

“Given that 51 new stores have opened since last year, this is an underwhelming result and suggests the store footprint still falls short of its potential,” he added.

CEO and co-founder Neil Blumenthal said the company will continue to expand its products and services, retail footprint and eye-care offering.

“There’s a tremendous amount happening across Warby Parker, from rolling out Warby Parker Care to expanding our retail footprint to launching our first Intelligent Eyewear collection,” he said.

“In an uneven optical environment, we’re focused on what we can control while pursuing opportunities that can drive meaningful growth for years to come.”

Looking ahead, Warby Parker narrowed its fiscal 2026 revenue guidance to between $966 million and $976 million, representing growth of approximately 11 per cent to 12 per cent compared with fiscal 2025.

“Our profitability reflects disciplined execution across the business, and we’re maintaining that focus through the remainder of the year as we enter 2027 with significant financial flexibility,” said CFO Adrian Mitchell.
