Wahlburgers plans to expand its national footprint this year through new locations and partnership-led growth across the US.
Founded by Mark Wahlberg, Donnie Wahlberg and chef Paul Wahlberg, the brand is pursuing expansion across selected markets using multiple operating formats and customer access points.
“This will be an exciting year of growth for Wahlburgers as we continue to deliver strong year-over-year performance,” said Randy Sharpe, CEO of Wahlburgers. “From expanding into new markets to diversifying our offerings through new experiences and touchpoints, Wahlburgers is the brand to watch.”
As part of its expansion plans, Wahlburgers has introduced an off-premise format through a partnership with Adaptiv Provisions. Launched late last year, the collaboration saw the chain’s trailers operating at selected The Home Depot locations.
The company has also opened three sites in Rockledge, Stuart and Vero Beach, Florida, with further openings planned later this year.
The chain will open a location at Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ), Concourse B, next month. Operated in partnership with SSP America, the site will bring the brand’s number of airport locations to four. Airport locations remain part of the brand’s long-term expansion plans.
The company will also add a company-owned location in Memphis within Big Cypress Lodge. The site will include multiple food and beverage concepts, as well as banquet and in-room dining operations.
In addition, Wahlburgers is expanding through a partnership with Bass Pro Shops, with locations set to open this year in Irvine, California, and Sayreville, New Jersey.
Alongside network expansion, the chain continues to update its menu, including limited-time items such as smash-style burgers, layered sandwiches and shareable items.
“By popular demand, we’re adding successful promotional items to the core menu,” Sharpe said.
He added that Wahlburgers plans to continue expanding through a combination of market entry, airport locations and partnership models, while maintaining its focus on food, service and value.
