Shopping center operator Simon has launched Simon Media Network, an e-commerce media platform designed to help brands connect with shoppers across its portfolio of more than 200 shopping, dining, and entertainment destinations.
The company said the platform differs from traditional retail media networks by combining online and in-person consumer data, giving advertisers deeper insights into where shoppers spend their time and how they engage with brands beyond individual purchases.
“Today’s marketers need more than impressions,” said Jared Blechman, chief revenue officer of Simon.
“Simon is where consumers discover brands in the real world. Simon Media Network builds on that foundation, transforming those interactions into intelligence that helps brands better understand, reach, and engage consumers.”
The platform enables advertisers to run campaigns across Simon’s digital displays, experiential activations, ShopSimon.com, the Simon+ loyalty program, owned social and digital channels, as well as off-platform media.
Campaigns can be deployed nationally, regionally, by market, or at individual properties, with measurement across all channels.
“What makes Simon Media Network attractive is our ability to bring together brands, consumers, and experiences in places where real life happens,” said Lee Sterling, chief marketing officer of Simon.
“Simon Media Network gives marketers an opportunity to reach those audiences, be part of those moments, and understand the impact those connections create.”
Simon is a real estate investment trust that owns various shopping, dining, entertainment, and mixed-use destinations across North America, Europe, and Asia.
In the US, the group’s key shopping centers include King of Prussia (PA), The Galleria (TX), Sawgrass Mills (FL), Woodbury Common Premium Outlets (NY), and Lenox Square (GA).
