Signet Jewelers has appointed two senior retail executives to lead three of its core brands, as part of advancing the company’s ‘Grow Brand Love’ strategy.
Jamie Cygielman will assume the role of president for Zales and Banter, effective August 24.
Cygielman moves to the jewelry sector from Mattel, where she was global head of dolls and president of American Girl.
In her new position, she will report directly to Signet CEO JK Symancyk and manage go-to-market strategies, retail innovation, and consumer engagement for both brands.
Pam Cloud has been named president of the Blue Nile brand division. Cloud holds more than 30 years of luxury retail experience, including a 25-year tenure at Tiffany & Co, where she previously held SVP and CMO roles.
She will report to Signet COO and CFO Joan Hilson, and will be responsible for repositioning Blue Nile toward an “elevated, natural diamond-centric luxury model targeting an affluent demographic”.
“Grow Brand Love is about creating distinctive brands with clear value propositions and stronger connections to the customers they serve,” said Symancyk. “Jamie and Pam are accomplished leaders who understand how to unlock the potential of iconic brands through consumer insight, innovation and disciplined execution.”
These appointments are part of the jeweler’s strategy to differentiate its structural holdings while enhancing the corporation’s retail performance.
In its latest quarterly financial reports, the retail group recorded flat YOY sales of $1.6 billion, while operating income declined by more than 23 per cent to $36.9 million.
In March, the company said it plans to retire the James Allen brand in the new fiscal year as the company focuses on growing its core brands.
