Sherri Hill has filed a lawsuit against Medon, SheIsMe, and KissProm for using copyrighted images and design elements from its portfolio.

The fashion retailer designs and markets prom, pageant, and formal gowns, with products distributed through authorised retailers in the country and internationally.

According to the filing, the images form part of the Sherri Hill’s registered copyrights and are used in its marketing and branding. The lawsuit also alleges that some of the images were altered and displayed without permission.

The case includes claims under US federal copyright law, including alleged infringement and the removal or alteration of copyright management information, alongside related claims under federal and New York law.

Sherri Hill is seeking injunctive relief, damages, and other remedies.

The allegations have not been tested in court, and the defendants have yet to respond to the claims.
