Houston-based pizza chain Russo’s New York Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen has entered into a multi-unit franchise agreement to open 10 restaurants in Mexico by 2027, accelerating its international presence.
While serving Italian dishes with regional options like halal or gluten-free dishes, the New York-style pizza brand commits to making meals fresh to order at an average food cost of 22 per cent. Its store sizes vary from 1500sqft for a delivery and takeaway model to 3500sqft for a dine-in one.
Founded in 1999 by Chef Anthony Russo, Russo’s New York Pizzeria has expanded to 54 locations in Texas, Oklahoma, California, and Florida, as well as in international markets like the Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai.
“Russo’s offers a taste of Little Italy with unique menu items and family recipes, including favorites like the Prosciutto & Burrata Pizza, Truffle Mushroom Pizza, and Pesto Chicken Pizza,” said Javier Aguilar, the brand’s newest Mexico franchisee operator.
“Furthermore, its selection of classic Italian pasta dishes – made fresh to order using all-natural ingredients – truly sets it apart.”
