Publix Super Markets reported higher sales in the second quarter, driven by increased customer traffic and a rise in comparable-store sales.

The Florida-based grocer posted revenue of $15.6 billion for the three months ending June 28, up 7.3 per cent from $14.5 billion in the same quarter last year. Comparable-store sales rose 6 per cent during the period.

For the first half of 2025, sales reached $31.4 billion, a 6.2 per cent increase from $29.6 billion during the same period a year earlier.

“Next month, we will celebrate Publix’s 95th anniversary,” said Publix CEO Kevin Murphy. “I’m proud our associates continue to deliver on the vision our founder had when he started this special company.”

Publix operates 1413 stores across Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Kentucky.
