Mexican restaurant chain Cilantro Taco Grill will expand with 110 new stores across the country through agreements with six franchise groups.
The new units are in development in Illinois, Texas, California, and Florida. The chain said the franchisees have resonated with its mission to uplift Latinos and immigrant communities, with all groups having immigrant backgrounds themselves.
“We are incredibly proud of the over 100-unit growth Cilantro Taco Grill has achieved just six months after signing our first deal,” said Temoc Morfin, founder of Cilantro Taco Grill.
“This growth is not just a testament to our passion and dedication but also a beacon of hope for other families striving to achieve the American dream.”
Founded in 2013, Cilantro Taco Grill currently has 15 locations, with three more to open this year, in the Chicagoland market. The company’s average sales per sqft reached $1083.58 in FY23.
Last year, the chain launched its franchise opportunity with the support of franchise development partner Fransmart and grammy-award winning artist Armando Perez (Pitbull), with an aim to reach more than 1000 units worldwide over the next 10 years.
