More than 50 Meta Lab concessions will open within Best Buy stores this summer, offering Meta’s full range of AI glasses and VR headsets.
Covering 900sqft, the Meta Lab @ Best Buy stores-in-stores will introduce the product lineup through interactive demos and displays, smart mirrors, and personalized fittings, allowing customers to feel and experience the items before making a purchase.
The space will feature a dedicated wall showcasing the extensive assortment of AI glasses. Nearby displays use interactive UV light to show how lenses may adjust in different lighting conditions.
Customers can try on the glasses and use hand movements to control, as well as interact with displays that feature built-in prompts. Meta sales specialists are also there to guide the experience so shoppers can explore all the available features.
The high-tech smart mirrors let customers virtually try on different shades and styles of the glasses. They can also browse frames and colors with the touchscreen or take a photo to compare favorite looks side-by-side.
“We’re reimagining how consumers shop the next generation of personal technology,” said Christa Wittenberg, VP of global retail sales at Meta. “These are immersive, hands-on spaces built for real discovery – where people can experience firsthand just how stylish, fun, and personal AI glasses and VR really are.”
Patrick McGinnis, chief merchandising officer at Best Buy, added: “Meta Lab @ Best Buy is an experience customers can’t find at any other retailer and sets a new standard for how our customers will explore, play with and discover the latest cutting-edge tech.”
The experiences launch this month, with additional locations rolling out throughout the summer. The first Meta Lab @ Best Buy stores will open in San Carlos (California), Roseville (Minnesota), Woodland Park (New Jersey), Greenville (South Carolina), and Columbus (Ohio).
