McDonald’s has teamed up with DoorDash to offer US consumers a first-of-its-kind delivery option, as part of the fast-food chain’s accelerating digital revamp.

The DoorDash-powered delivery service, operating under DoorDash’s affiliated brand Wolt, acquired in 2022, follows by the partnership launching across 29 other markets.

“This global partnership is powered by innovation – driving sales, simplifying operations, and elevating the customer experience,” said Shanna Preve, DoorDash’s VP of sales and development.

With no application downloads and other access steps required, customers can order McDonald’s dishes directly from McDelivery’s website, powered by DoorDash, as well as opt for different payment options.

Tim Snyder, head of delivery of McDonald’s US, said the partnered channel will extend the chain’s presence by providing a seamless and more convenient service to customers in the US market.

“It reflects our continued commitment to meeting customer demands and strengthening accessibility across all touchpoints.”

This month, McDonald’s reported strong second-quarter results, while DoorDash has posted a strong quarterly performance.
