Ulta Beauty is expanding its skincare offerings with the addition of science-backed brands, including Bloomeffects from the Netherlands and Korea’s Mediheal.
Founded by Kim van Haaster in 2017, Bloomeffects develops products using regenerative compounds derived from upcycled tulip bulbs.
Ulta will roll out the brand to 750 stores nationwide beginning this month and will introduce nine products across cleansers, serums, moisturizers, and sunscreen, priced between $29 and $79.
Van Haaster said the retail rollout represents a milestone for the brand’s distribution.
“We can’t wait to see everyone glow with Bloomeffects. Dreams really do bloom here,” she said.
Ulta Beauty said the addition aligns with its focus on expanding its skincare offering.
“We’re always seeking brands that bring a distinct point of view, meaningful innovation, and proven results to our skin-savvy guests,” said Lisa Tamburello, VP of merchandising at Ulta Beauty.
Separately, Korean derma-cosmetic brand Mediheal has launched its PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) range in more than 1400 Ulta Beauty stores.
The range includes toner pads, serums, and sheet masks formulated with vegan PDRN derived from rose, designed to support skin renewal and barrier repair.
“US consumers are increasingly looking beyond brand names and gravitating toward high-performance skincare that delivers tangible results, particularly in strengthening the skin barrier and preventing signs of aging,” said Mediheal.
