Macy’s has appointed Michael Krans as the new VP of Macy’s Media Network to oversee the company’s in-house media publisher.

The media division, launched in 2020, is responsible for connecting advertising partners with Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s loyal customers, as well as building customized media plans that drive brand storytelling.

Krans’ most recent role was leading the fashion team at Walmart Connect. He also worked at major publishers including Hearst and Conde Nast where he oversaw revenue growth, advertising, and marketing initiatives.

In his new role, Krans reports to Max Magni, chief customer and digital officer at Macy’s.

“We’re excited to welcome Michael to Macy’s, Inc. He takes the reins of our growing retail media network bringing with him more than two decades of sales and marketing experience,” said Magni.

“Macy’s Media Network is one of retail’s premier platforms for advertisers helping them to connect with highly engaged customers across Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s, giving marketers a host of opportunities to more effectively leverage their media campaigns.”
