Spanish luxury brand Loewe has opened a new flagship in Chicago’s Oak Street, spanning two floors of an 1890s heritage building.

Designed by creative director Jonathan Anderson, the 2594sqft space boasts a palette of deep blue, aquamarine, and brown hues combined with marble and oakwood as its backdrop.

In addition to the brand’s range of women’s ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, small leather goods, sunglasses and accessories, the store also features sculpture, furniture, and art pieces.

Among the furniture pieces in-store include Utrecht armchairs, Berin chairs made of wood and felt, a black terrazzo table, a tufted leather bench, iron martini tables, ceramic vessels, and a Noguchi lamp.

Additionally, four bespoke wool carpets showcase reproductions of rural landscapes by British textile artist John Allen, specifically “Peveril of the Peak Brighter” and “The River Reaches the Sea”.

Casa Loewe also exhibits selected pieces from its global art collection, including Courtyard (2022) by British artist Lorna Robertson, Little Girl Inside (2023) by Los Angeles-based collage artist Richard Hawkins, and two works in egg tempera on calfskin by New York painter Altoon Sultan, Dark Corner (2021) and Lines and Loop (2021).
