Mattress retailer Casper Sleep has named Joe Megibow as CEO, effective immediately, succeeding Emilie Arel.

Before joining Casper Sleep, Megibow served as CEO of Bright Cellars. He is also a board director at Lamps Plus.

“This is the sleep brand pioneer that disrupted the industry, creating unmatched brand awareness in a sleepy category with a strong focus on innovative products that support our passion for sleep health,” said Megibow.

“With recent investment from strategic partnerships, Casper is well capitalized and poised for significant growth.”

Arel will remain with the company until March 1 to assist in the transition.
