Inspire Brands has signed two franchise agreements to take sandwich brand Jimmy John’s to Canada and Latin America, kicking off the company’s worldwide development strategy.

Jimmy John’s has secured agreements with two operators – Foodtastic and Franquicias Internacionales – which have fast-service restaurant experience in Canada and Latin America, respectively.

“For 40 years, Jimmy John’s has taken a straightforward approach to making ridiculously good, quality sandwiches and it’s now time to share them with the world,” said Michael Haley, president & MD, international for Inspire Brands.

“In a global restaurant environment where simplicity is paramount, we’re confident this brand is primed for extensive international growth.”

Jimmy John’s says it focuses on quality ingredients, convenience, and digital innovation, as well as ease of operation, to position the brand for international appeal. Its global growth will bring a new method for international guests to enjoy its menu.
