Gap appoints fashion designer Zac Posen as EVP and creative director

Gap Inc has named American fashion designer Zac Posen as its new EVP and creative director. Posen was also appointed as chief creative officer of Old Navy, based in San Francisco.

Posen has a 25-year extensive career that includes red-carpet couture, ready to wear, accessories, costume design and more.

As creative director of Gap Inc, Posen will join the company’s executive leadership team, serving as a cultural curator and creative partner to president and CEO Richard Dickson.

Meanwhile, his responsibilities at Old Navy will be leading design, merchandising and marketing. He will report directly to the brand’s president and CEO Haio Barbeito.
