Donut chain Dunkin’ and pet brand Bark have introduced a one-day drive-thru experience for dogs in Massachusetts, alongside their annual charitable toy line.
Located at the Dunkin’ location on Washington Street in Quincy, the event, “Dunkin’ for Dogs”, takes place this month with two specific lanes, including a drive-thru lane for dog owners and a pet-only lane.
The one-day event converts its second drive-thru lane to serve guests exclusively, while dogs visiting the designated lane will receive complimentary treats, brand bandanas, and access to the new toy line.
Select Dunkin’ stores across New York, California, and Illinois are also distributing the limited-edition bandanas and toys on the same date while inventory lasts.
Available in exchange for donations to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, the annual product collaboration features plush toys designed after Dunkin’ menu items.
The collaborative lineup includes a two-in-one “Wake-Up Wrap” toy with squeakers and treat compartments, a donut plush set, and an online-exclusive toy containing a hidden interior feature.
Representatives from both companies noted that the joint initiative formalizes the routine of pet owners bringing dogs on everyday coffee runs, using consumer habits to generate funding for pediatric health programs.
Donations collected through the toy line support the foundation’s Dogs for Joy program, which funds full-time facility dogs in children’s hospitals to assist pediatric patients during treatment.
Since the partnership began seven years ago, the joint campaign has raised over $15 million and distributed more than one million toys nationwide.
“The Bark collaboration has become a beloved tradition because it brings together so many things our guests care about: their pets, their communities and giving back,” said Mollie Collum, director of the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation.
“Every toy represents an opportunity to help support our programs like Dogs for Joy, and we’re excited to make this year’s celebration even more memorable with Dunkin’s first official dog drive-thru.” said Collum.
