Quick-serve Mexican restaurant Del Taco has entered into a five-store development agreement with a new franchisee, Karan Pandher, to bring the brand to Louisville, Kentucky.
“As someone deeply invested in this city, I’m proud to introduce a concept that doesn’t just serve great food but also creates jobs, builds connections, and adds something new to Louisville’s vibrant food scene,” said Pandher.
The new restaurants will introduce Del Taco’s new Fresh Flex layout, featuring what the company describes as modern designs and layout changes designed to enhance the guest experience.
The restaurants will feature drive-thru lanes and pick-up lockers for customers who place orders through the mobile app or third-party delivery services.
“This agreement represents a significant step in our strategic expansion plans across the Midwest,” said Dustin Thompson, director of franchise development for Del Taco.
“This announcement builds upon our recent development agreement for 10 stores in the neighboring DMA of Indianapolis,” said Thompson.
The exact locations of the new restaurants have not yet been confirmed, but the brand anticipates its first grand opening within the next couple of years.
