Coty has overhauled its leadership structure as part of a broader effort to simplify operations and bring commercial decision-making closer to the business.
Under the new structure, executive chairman and interim CEO Markus Strobel will assume direct oversight of the prestige division, with the group’s regional leaders reporting to him.
The company is also combining Prestige research and development, sustainability, and supply chain into a single function under the interim leadership of chief supply chain officer Graeme Carter.
Gordon von Bretten will continue to lead the consumer beauty division, which already operates under an integrated model.
The restructuring will be accompanied by several executive departures.
Chief commercial officer, prestige, Caroline Andreotti, will leave Coty at the end of September after nearly 20 years with the company, including the past three years in her current role.
Chief scientific and sustainability officer, Dr Shimei Fan, will depart at the end of August after overseeing the company’s research and development organization, sustainability strategy, and product innovation.
Chief people and purpose officer, Priya Srinivasan, will also step down in August, citing personal reasons. She will be succeeded by Séverine Charbon, who joins Coty on September 1 from Publicis Groupe, where she most recently served as chief talent officer, international.
Commenting on the changes, Strobel said the company’s ‘Coty Curated’ strategy is designed to create a simpler operating model that enables faster decision-making and supports continued investment in its core brands.
“Coty Curated is about clarity and focus, and a simpler operating model helps us deliver on that,” he said.
“It positions us to keep building behind our core brands and to support our teams as the business moves forward.”
