Christian Lacroix has been acquired by Spain’s Sociedad Textil Lona (STL) for an undisclosed amount.
Established in 1987 by its namesake designer Christian Lacroix, the label is known for its baroque and embroidered designs and was once part of French luxury giant LVMH.
STL also owns brands such as CH Carolina Herrera and Purification Garcia, with 600 stores worldwide.
The company described the agreement as a “private transaction”.
“By acquiring Maison Christian Lacroix, with its treasure of archives and the rich history of French haute couture, STL expands its brand portfolio, strengthening its international presence,” remarked STL.
Spanish luxury beauty and perfumes group Puig owns a 25 per cent stake in STL.
