Fast-casual salad chain Chicken Salad Chick is scheduled to open its first restaurant in Kansas on July 1, taking the brand’s footprint to 22 US states.
Located in Overland Park, the Kansas location will offer its signature menu of flavor salads, sandwiches, and desserts, along with in-restaurant dining, carry-out, third-party delivery, and catering options.
“This is a major milestone for us as we continue to grow into new markets across the country. We see great growth opportunities in the greater Kansas City market and are thrilled to make our debut in Overland Park,” said Scott Deviney, Chicken Salad Chick’s CEO and president.
Founded in Alabama and known for its dozen-plus variety of made-from-scratch chicken salad flavors, Chicken Salad Chick has operated more than 305 restaurants in 22 states, and the chain is slated to open two more Chicken Salad Chick restaurants in Johnson County in 2026.
The brand established the CSC Foundation to support Cure Childhood Cancer and the local food bank. The Kansas restaurant will also raise money for regional support programs.
