Luxury fashion label Burberry has named Laura Dubin-Wander as its new president in the Americas, effective this week.

Dubin-Wander, who joined the firm from OTB, formerly served as CEO of OTB and has held various senior positions, including president of Coach North America, VP of Christian Dior Couture, and president of Givenchy.

“Laura is a results-driven and dynamic leader with demonstrated success in building and developing winning teams,” said Joshua Schulman, who is also appointed as Burberry’s chief marketing officer in the Americas. “I am delighted to be working with her to grow our business in the Americas.”

Burberry reported a fiscal first-half loss in July after first-quarter sales fell sharply in Asia Pacific and other markets.

The luxury fashion retailer said its CEO, Jonathan Akeroyd, has stepped down and departed the firm with immediate effect due to a “mutual agreement with the board”. Joshua Schulman, the former head of Michael Kors, has taken over as CEO and executive director.
