BJ’s Wholesale Club will initially open five new locations in the southeast and midwest, as part of its bigger expansion plan for this fiscal year.

The new clubs will be opened in Maryville, Tennessee; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Palm Coast and West Palm Beach, Florida; and Carmel, Indiana.

“Our real estate pipeline is the strongest it’s been in 20 years, and we look forward to helping even more families save up to 25 per cent off grocery store prices as we add clubs to both new and existing markets,” BJ’s Wholesale Club EVP of strategy and development Bill Werner said.

Each new store is expected to create about 150 jobs.

Earlier, the company announced its plans to open 12 new clubs and 15 gas stations this fiscal year.
