Dine Brands’ grill and bar chain, Applebee’s Neighborhood, has appointed Michelle Chin as its new CMO  and Jerrold Wong as COO, effective next month.

Chin brings over 20 years of marketing experience from her roles at Starbucks, Godiva, and Unilever. She will lead Applebee’s marketing team with a focus on enhancing the brand’s in-house marketing capabilities.

Bringing his leadership experience from the hospitality industry, Wong will work closely with the team and franchisees to support the chain’s accelerating growth, innovate the menu, and improve the overall guest experience.

“With these appointments, we’re looking to accelerate that strategy, creating efficiencies and returning to growth,” said John Peyton, president of Applebee’s and Dine Brands’ CEO.

“Our team and franchisees have worked diligently against our key areas of focus to continually enhance the guest experience and reimagine our restaurants, enhancing our menu and value offerings, and connecting with our guests in deeper, more impactful ways.”

Earlier, Applebee’s contributed significantly to Dine Brands’ performance in the second quarter.
