Apple China has opened a new store in Beijing’s upmarket retail district Sanlitun. Apple Sanlitun is twice the size of the store it replaces right next door and features many of the firm’s most recent retail design concept advancements, introducing a forum, viewing gallery and boardroom. The new features double the space reserved for service and support, while maintaining consciousness of social distancing and safety protocols appropriate to the current Covid-19 climate. “This store sets a new standard for Apple Retail in China and we’re thrilled to build on our history in Beijing,” said Apple’s senior VP of retail and people Deirdre O’Brien.
“We look forward to operating Apple Sanlitun, and all of our stores around the world, with the health and safety of our customers and teams as our top priority.”
The previous Apple store in Sanlitun served more than 22 million visitors since it opened 12 years ago.
