Alo Yoga will open a new distribution and fulfillment center in Southaven, Mississippi, which is expected to become operational next year.
According to the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA), the project will occupy up to 1.2 million sqft in an existing building, representing a nearly $176 million investment and set to create more than 400 jobs in DeSoto County.
The opening follows Alo’s rapid expansion in recent years, with the brand now operating 170 stores globally, including about 100 in the US. It is also available in luxury wholesale channels such as Nordstrom, Revolve, Saks and Bloomingdale’s.
The project is further supported by DeSoto County and the city of Southaven.
“Alo is pleased to expand our operations in Mississippi with a state-of-the-art fulfillment and distribution center that will help us serve customers across the country with seamless delivery,” said Norm Hullinger, co-president of Alo.
“We’re proud to create more than 400 new jobs upon opening, and many more to come during the holiday season. We look forward to becoming part of the community.”
Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves said the investment “makes a lot of sense” for both the state and the company, particularly given Mississippi’s strong logistics performance.
PJ Waldrop, Mississippi Development Authority executive director, added, “In distribution, reach matters, and Southaven delivers it. Alo will have the transportation access, workforce, and capacity to move products quickly to customers across the country.”
He called that a “winning combination” for companies with extensive shipping needs like Alo.
“There’s no company hotter right now in America than Alo in providing premium athletic apparel,” City of Southaven Mayor Darren Musselwhite added.
“We’re a great fit for each other and are so proud to welcome this outstanding national operation to Southaven.”
