Adidas has partnered with NBA player Anthony Edwards to launch Believe That 1, an entry-level basketball sneaker priced at $100.
The sportswear giant said the launch is built around the idea that “the backyard is where champions are made”, with the shoe designed to give young players access to performance footwear at a more affordable price point.
“Anthony Edwards is the game’s main attraction, and the Believe That 1 is proof that his universe has room for everyone,” said Max Staiger, global GM of Adidas Basketball.
“It represents our commitment to making sure every hooper, at every level, has a place in this story. Together with Ant, we’re building something bigger than any one drop, any one season.”
The Believe That 1 will launch in five colorways: With Love, Velocity Blue, Triple White, Core Black, and Turbo. It features a durable toe overlay, side containment panels for added foot support, and shock absorption technology designed to improve comfort and flexibility on the court.
“More than just another shoe, the Believe That 1 is an invitation to the next generation to step into my world,” Edwards said.
“This is for the hoopers who are putting in the work every day, trying to reach new heights. Believe that.
The Believe That 1 will be available from June through Adidas’ website and app, as well as selected retail locations globally.
