Rack Room president and CEO Mark Lardie is stepping down from his role effective immediately, ending a 14-year tenure with the footwear retailer.

Lardie has been with Rack Room Shoes since 2012. Prior to joining the business, he held leadership roles across several retailers, including Brown Shoe Company, Famous Footwear, and Footstar.

In a statement shared on LinkedIn, Rack Room Shoes recognized Lardie’s contribution to the business.

“Mark’s leadership, steady guidance and commitment to excellence have left a lasting mark on our organisation and on so many of us who’ve had the privilege to work alongside him,” said the company.

“Thank you, Mark, for your years of dedication and the legacy you leave behind. We wish you a fulfilling and happy retirement.”

The company has yet to announce a successor.
