Craveworthy Brands has acquired California-based restaurant chain Fresh Brothers Pizza for an undisclosed amount.
Founded in 2008, Fresh Brothers offers Midwest-style pizza at more than 20 locations in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego.
The chain is known for its handmade dough made daily, pure cheese and premium meats. The menu also includes vegan pizza with plant-based protein, as well as salads, baked wings, fresh knots and sliders.
Craveworthy Brands is eyeing the chain’s nationwide expansion with its franchise model.
“Fresh Brothers is a perfect fit for Craveworthy as we expand our roots from the Midwest to the West Coast with our first brick-and-mortar pizza brand,” said Gregg Majewski, CEO and founder of Craveworthy Brands.
“This acquisition not only diversifies our brand portfolio but strengthens our commitment to thoughtful growth,” he added.
The deal follows Craveworthy’s recent launch of Global Taste Brands, a joint venture designed to introduce and franchise international QSR and fast casual concepts in the US.
Last month, the company introduced its first co-branded concept in New Jersey, offering dishes from Wing It On! and Sigri Indian BBQ.
