Doughnut company Krispy Kreme has agreed to enter a joint venture with AmPm Comestíveis Ltda (AmPm) to expand into Brazil.

Under the partnership, Krispy Kreme will sell its doughnuts to Brazilians through a network of Krispy Kreme locations and AmPm convenience stores.

“Our fresh doughnuts will be a great fit in a country well-known for its culture and enjoyment of sharing meals and sweets with family and friends,” said Raphael Duvivier, Krispy Kreme’s chief development officer.

“In addition, we are very pleased to partner with AmPm,” continued Duvivier. “They have built a strong retail presence along with deep experience for iconic brands like ours.”

According to the brand, Brazil is a priority growth market, and this debut follows its successful December launch in Paris. The company plans to launch in Brazil between the end of this year and early next year.
