Von Maur Department Store is to invest more than $100 million in renovating its brick-and-mortar shops over the next five years, to enhance the consumer shopping experience.

Renovations are presently happening at Towne East Square, Jefferson Point Shopping Centre, Westroads Mall, Laurel Park Place, Oxmoor Centre, Corbin Park, and Hickory Point Mall.

Von Maur will renovate its existing stores with white and cream tones, softwoods, and modern lighting. The retailer says the new style of design is intended to better highlight the merchandise.

“As Von Maur has grown, new stores have evolved to reflect the trends present in residential design,” said Jim von Maur, president of Von Maur.

“It is important that we reinvest in our existing locations and bring those same updates to the customers that have been the bedrock of our success.”

This announcement builds on Von Maur’s previously announced plans for new sites at South Hills Village in Pittsburgh, PA and West Acres Mall in Fargo, as the 152-year-old retailer continues its planned national expansion strategy.
