Vida Shoes has acquired the luxury fashion brand Aquatalia in a deal where the price was undisclosed.

Aquatalia, founded in 1994 in Italy, is known for its waterproof products and luxury footwear with three key pillars: “functional luxury, versatile style, and wearability”.

Gabe Safdeye, senior executive VP of Vida Shoes International, describes this as a “significant opportunity” for Vida to expand its product portfolio.

“We think we’ve acquired one of the great gems in the attainable luxury space,” said Safdeye.

In 2021, Saadia Group acquired the assets of Aquatalia from Global Brands Group.

Vida Shoes is the owner of brands including Jambu, JBU, J Sport and Andre Assous, and is also a licensee of various brands such as Bruno Magli, Kenneth Cole and Carter’s.
