Van Gogh Senses, the world’s first art-themed concept store dedicated to Vincent van Gogh, has opened a new venture, Van Gogh Senses Gifts in the new Tai Kwun Centre for Heritage and Arts. Customers can create gift combos inspired by Van Gogh’s work with such exclusive products as confectionery, teas and coffees, flowers and Museum Collection items. Van Gogh has also inspired beverages such as Sunflower Bouquet Cold Brew Tea, cold-brew coffee and other artisanal delicacies. All the exclusive
ive packaging for the gifts is inspired by the master’s work.
Drawing on natural elements for its design, the boutique features natural light flooding in through historic wooden French doors. The store transforms Van Gogh’s art in the form of a river of floating butterflies flying through the store – a tribute to Poppies and Butterflies.
To celebrate the opening, Van Gogh Senses is launching a month-long campaign “Best Sunflowers at Tai Kwun” on Facebook, which invites visitors to share their photos taken in front of the “Sunflowers Wall”. The best image each week will be awarded a HK$200 gift voucher.
Inspired by arts, culture and heritage, the revitalised Tai Kwun Centre for Heritage and Arts was formerly the Central Police Station.
