The Knot Worldwide has acquired online platform for elopements and microweddings Simply Eloped for an undisclosed sum.

Founded in 2016, Simply Eloped offers customized elopement and microwedding packages ranging from $450 to $5500. The company boasts a community of more than 750 wedding professionals, a network of wedding vendors, and a technology platform, delivering a streamlined and highly personal customer experience.

Elopements typically have up to 15 guests, while microweddings can include up to 50 people, with services currently available in over 30 unique destinations.

“Today’s microwedding and elopement couples are increasingly seeking to personalize their celebrations,” said Tim Chi, CEO of The Knot Worldwide.

“We are combining forces with Simply Eloped to provide these couples the end-to-end support and talented vendor network they need to make their dreams a reality while introducing new business opportunities for vendors.”

Founder Janessa White will continue to operate Simply Eloped following the acquisition. The company will join The Knot Worldwide’s portfolio of labels, which include The Knot, WeddingWire, Bodas.net, Hitched.co.uk and Matrimonio.com.

White said her business will leverage the resources and support from its new parent company to reach more couples and offer its services on a larger scale.
