Church’s Texas Chicken and Texas Chicken saw sales significantly grow last year amid the opening of more locations globally.

The High Bluff Capital Partners-owned quick-service restaurant chains opened 70 new sites in 15 markets across Canada, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.

Church’s Texas Chicken also noted that it continues to open restaurants in new US markets, including Bremerton, Washington, Bryant, Arkansas and Tulsa, Oklahoma, with average unit volume breaching $1 million across the system.

Church’s Texas Chicken will also introduce a new compact footprint design this year and is set to open 400 remodels over the next three years.

Both brands said they are on track to expand their international footprint by more than 50 per cent over the next five years.

Currently, Church’s Texas Chicken and Texas Chicken have over 1500 stores in 23 countries and expect to grow sales from $1.4 billion to over $2 billion by 2028.

“From a development perspective, there is a tremendous opportunity to open in new markets,” said Church’s Texas Chicken CEO Joe Guith.

“With the additional investments we are making in people, technology, brand positioning and marketing, operations, real estate market planning and new prototype development, our compass is set and we are well-positioned to continue on this exciting transformation trajectory.”
