Sweetgreen has marked its 250th restaurant milestone with the opening of its first location in Richmond.

Located in Carytown, the 2162sqft restaurant will feature goat cheese from FireFly Farms, one of the brand’s first suppliers, and the recently-launched menu item – Ripple Fries.

The location can accommodate up to 24 diners inside and six guests on the patio. It will also offer pick-up or delivery options for orders made through the brand’s website and app.

“Sweetgreen was founded just a couple of hours from Richmond with the goal of bringing communities together through fresh, high-quality food,” said Jonathan Neman, co-founder and CEO.

“We’re honored to carry that mission forward in Carytown, partnering with local businesses and serving delicious meals made with real ingredients.”

Sweetgreen will also partner with Feed More at its Richmond location. For every meal purchased on opening day, the chain will donate a meal to people in Central Virginia experiencing food insecurity.
