American burger chain Shake Shack is to make its Macau debut, opening at the new integrated casino resort The Londoner.
The restaurant is scheduled for a soft opening in the middle of this year. In the meantime, the brand has collaborated with local illustrator and artist Kun Lam to introduce a “pre-opening mural” which illustrates the culture of Macau by incorporating the pattern of Azulejos (Portuguese tiles) and street signs with Shake elements.
Besides its classic burger range, Shake Shack Macau is also working with local producers to offer Macau-exclusive menu items.
The restaurant will be operated under a partnership with Hong Kong-based food and beverage company Maxim’s Caterers, which is half-owned by Dairy Farm International and already operates stores in Hong Kong.
In addition to its home market, the New York burger chain operates more than 95 international locations, including in London, Shanghai, Singapore, the Philippines, Tokyo and South Korea.
