Sporty & Rich New York City With its classical cast-iron facade and white Corinthian columns, the Sporty & Rich store at 133 Greene Street in the heart of SoHo feels more like a high-end member’s club than an apparel and lifestyle store. Previously occupied by Dior Homme, the store concept was created by Uli Wagner Design Lab, and the interior was designed by the brand founder, Emily Oberg. Shoppers are welcomed into a spacious interior spanning over 3,600 sq ft with high ceiling
h ceilings, blonde hardwood floors, and arched brick walls painted in bold, ’80s-inspired hues.
In addition to the brand’s apparel and lifestyle merchandise, which is displayed throughout the airy space, there is also a fully-fledged cafe with bistro-style seating that stocks coffee, tea, and a variety of wellness drinks, and an in-house spa for treatments like facials and massages.
Le Père
New York City
Fast-growing men’s streetwear brand Le Père opened its debut flagship store at 90 Orchard Street on the Lower East Side in October, just 18 months after launching.
The brand enlisted New York-based architecture and interior design firm Bond Architecture to transform the 1,000sq ft space, which features a largely white color palette complemented by warm wood flooring and a sunshine-yellow fitting room.
Custom furniture designed by Bond founders Noam Dvir and Daniel Rauchwerger and fabricated by Lesser Miracle Studio, along with vintage pieces by Alvar Aalto, provide injections of style, alongside books, artwork and the brand’s colorful collections.
An interesting detail is the shop’s exterior billboard, which is used to showcase the work of the brand’s collaborators.
Porsche Studio
Portland, Oregon
Luxury car brand Porsche has opened the doors of its first Porsche Studio in the US, in the heart of Portland’s fashionable Pearl District, which is chock full of historic warehouses that have been turned into trendy art galleries, microbreweries and luxury shops.
Designed by Portland-based commercial design and planning firm LRS Architects, and encompassing nearly 13,000sq ft over two floors, the studio invites consumers to leisurely explore Posrche’s heritage as they browse for their next dream car.
In between checking out the latest releases or custom ordering a model, visitors can relax in the bar and lounge, which serves regional cuisine and beverages, including locally roasted artisan coffee.
Alongside a rotating selection of the brand’s high-end vehicles, the works of local artists are on display, creating a vibe more like an art gallery than a luxury car dealership.
Herschel Supply Co
New York City
Covering the length of a city block, and featuring two entrances on both Broadway and Mercer Street, Herschel Supply Co’s new flagship store in SoHo is a behemoth at around 4,200sq ft.
Designed in-house, the store is an homage to the lifestyle brand’s Canadian roots, with elements such as custom-designed cedar sculptures crafted in Vancouver, and photography by Steve Wilde, Herschel Supply Co’s own director of photography.
The store has a rustic yet artistic vibe with exposed brick walls (previously hidden under several layers, and years’ worth, of paint, which the brand stripped down), concrete floors, large paper lanterns, and bright orange, blue and pink wall panels and shelving, from which the company’s signature backpacks hang.
The store is Herschel Supply Co’s second location in New York City. It opened a store in Union Square last year.

In addition to the wide array of casual and dress shoe options, ranging from sneakers to flats, the store also serves as a community hub for a variety of events. From customer-led gatherings to fashion and beauty activations to private shopping nights and more.
July
New York City
Located at 127 Greene Street, global luggage and travel goods brand July’s first bricks-and-mortar store in the US beckons shoppers with a wall-to-wall assortment of luggage in bright and neutral tones, from creamy beige to cherry red.
A faux airport ‘boarding’ sign at the front of the store gets consumers in the mood to travel (and shop for luggage), while an area at the back is designed to resemble the boarding area of a plane.
Full-length mirrors enable eager travelers to select the luggage that will best coordinate with their future airport ensembles.
Essx
New York City
Located at 140 Essex Street on the Lower East Side, Essx is a multi-brand concept store that feels more like a high-tech, futuristic art gallery than a place to shop for clothing.
Brought to life by New York-based architecture firm Leong Leong and designer Yossi Shetrit, the store covers 7,000sq ft, with 200sq ft dedicated to a VIP styling room where shoppers can receive private consultations.
Products are arranged not by designer, but by ‘vibes,’ with entire walls dedicated solely to shoes, from the hottest sneakers to consistently stylish boots, and a variety of accessories. And a gift shop stocks items that any fashion enthusiast or art lover would drool over; from design books to limited-edition art pieces to homewares.
Collaborations between Essx and local artists are also available for purchase in the gift shop, enhancing the store’s connection with New York City’s creative community.
