Ross Stores names Stephen Brinkley as president of operations

Ross Stores has named Stephen Brinkley as its new president of operations, effective October 30. 

Brinkley will report to Michael Hartshorn, group president and COO, in his new position. His duties will encompass property development, retail, and supply chain management. 

“He brings a wealth of retail leadership experience that will be a valuable resource in driving long-term profitable growth for the Company,” said Michael Hartshorn. 

Brinkley was most recently president of SportChek, a division of Canadian Tire Corporation, Canada’s largest retailer of sporting goods, footwear and apparel, with more than 400 outlets across the country. 

He is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of in-depth operational and general management expertise at Save A Lot, Target, and Circuit City.

Ross Stores, with fiscal 2022 revenues of $18.7 billion, operates in the US with 1765 locations in 43 states, the District of Columbia, and Guam.
