Pure Hockey has acquired Omaha-based hockey and lacrosse retailer Off The Bench, marking its entry into Nebraska.

With the acquisition, Pure Hockey now operates a network of 81 retail locations across 30 states.

The integration of Off The Bench into Pure Hockey’s network will provide customers with a broader selection of hockey equipment, training tools, apparel, and accessories, the company said.

“This expansion highlights the continued growth of hockey in the Midwest and reaffirms our commitment to delivering top-tier products and services to players and fans alike,” said David Nectow, CEO of Pure Hockey.

“Finding an acquisition partner in Pure Hockey allows us to provide a more expansive selection of gear and resources while maintaining the same personal touch and customer service that has been at the heart of our business,” added Chad Wesch, owner of Off The Bench.

By establishing a physical presence in Nebraska, Pure Hockey aims to strengthen its community engagement efforts and contribute to the overall advancement of hockey in the state, the company said.

Last year, the retailer entered Iowa after acquiring JT’s Slap Shot.
