Restaurant chain PF Chang’s has appointed Jim Mazany as its new CEO, succeeding Brad Hill, who held the role for just six months. The appointment will be effective immediately.
Mazany previously held leadership positions as chairman and CEO across several companies, including Rosa Mexicano, Yardbird, and Shell Shack.
Prior to that, he was president and COO of Joe’s Crab Shack and CEO of SPB Hospitality, a multi-brand restaurant operator and franchisor.
The company says Mazany will help with the company’s further expansion, both domestically and internationally, expanding consumer packaged goods opportunities and refining the chain’s fast-casual concept.
“Our goal is to build on the brand’s strong foundation to deliver bold flavors, immersive dining experiences, and innovative concepts that delight today’s guests and shape the future of modern Asian cuisine,” said Mazany.
According to the press release, the new appointment aims to expose the brand to next-generation customers, while honoring its Asian culinary heritage and improving the brand’s long-term development.
Hill, who was appointed CEO in April, previously held various positions at the chain for eight years, including COO and CFO.
“We are deeply thankful for Brad’s leadership and the dedication he has shown to the PF Chang’s brand,” said John Paulson, president of Paulson & Company, majority owner of PF Chang’s alongside private equity firm TriArtisan Capital Advisors.
